Charles Evans Jr. OK After Practice Incident At Kansas Speedway

Chris Knight
Knight Motorsports Management/Team BCR Racing
October 7, 2011

ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards rookie driver Charles Evans Jr. was involved in a one-car incident during the late practice stages this morning at Kansas Speedway driving the No. 99 Elevator Transportation Services / CJE Enterprises Ford Fusion for Team BCR Racing. The contact with the wall has forced the Mooresville, North Carolina team to regroup their efforts in order to still try and compete in tonight’s Kansas Lottery 98.9 at Kansas Speedway.

QUOTE FROM THE SOURCE:

CHARLES EVANS JR., NO. 99 ELEVATOR TRANSPORTATION SERVICES / CJE ENTERPRISES FORD FUSION:

“I’m OK, just very disappointed. Everyone on the Team BCR Racing team did a fabulous job getting our No. 99 Elevator Transportation Services / CJE Enterprises Ford Fusion quick right off the bat this morning at Kansas Speedway. I wasn’t even fully on the accelerator and I heard a clunk and then she spun backwards. I really can’t explain what happened. We’re going to do some talking and see what our options are for tonight; they are several, because we want to race. I just want to thank Elevator Transportation Services, CJE Enterprises, Ford, RoushYates Engines, RoushYates Performance Parts, The Casite Company and all of our other marketing partners for their support. Also, I’m thankful for Howard (Bixman, owner and crew chief) and Colin Braun (NASCAR driver and coach) and the entire Team BCR Racing crew for their efforts to get me here to Kansas.”

The Kansas Lottery 98.9 (99 laps / 148.5 miles) is the 18th of 19 events on the 2011 ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards schedule. The 11th ARCA event held at Kansas Speedway is a one-day show.
