DAYTONA BEACH, FL - The International Sport Compact Auto Racing Series (ISCARS) DASH Touring highlights a big show scheduled for Saturday, June 2, 2007 at the 4/10 half mile track located near Timmonsville, SC.

The race is the second event of the season for the series, returning to action for the first time since the season opener on April 21 at Orange County Speedway.

Johnny Chapman is the defending race winner having won at FMS last October. He will be gunning for his third victory in a row. Chapman will have his work cut out for him on Saturday with several DASH drivers determined to beat him to the finish line.

Naples, FL driver Scott Krehling certainly has a score to settle at this particular speedway. Krehling was in clear command of the fall race when he accidentally passed the pace car prior to a restart with just a few laps remaining. “I so enjoy racing at the track and feel more confident there having been in the position to win,” stated Krehling.

Scott Weaver plans to make his return to racing this coming weekend. He was sidelined earlier due to the passing of his father, Floyd Weaver. “It is going to be hard. We really counted on Dad, but I know this is what he would want us to do. The entire family is looking forward to being at the track,” said Weaver. All of the DASH cars are displaying a decal in memory of Floyd for the entire 2007 season.

The race day itinerary includes the USAC Ford Focus Midgets, Carolina Pro Challenge, FMS Late Models and other local divisions. ISCARS DASH Touring will highlight the evening with a 150 lap shootout.

The June 2nd event is the first of four stops for ISCARS DASH Touring in South Carolina for 2007. The series plans two events each at Florence Motor Speedway and also at the new Dillon Motor Speedway.

Fans can stay informed with all the ISCARS highlights and racing action on ISCARS Wide Open TV available nationwide via several cable networks and hosted by MRN’s Joe Moore and Tiffany Ricardo. Check your local listing for airtimes.
