Ronnie W. Renegar

Yadkinville, NC - Mr. Ronnie W. Renegar, Sr., 58, passed away on March 21, 2009 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. He was born June 11, 1950 in Forsyth County to the late William R. and Hazel H. Renegar. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather (Papaw, Grandpa), son, brother and friend. His sense of humor continued to the very end and was priceless. He was employed with UPS for 21 years. He was also and NASCAR Inspector with Goody’s Dash Series and more recently, Craftsman Truck Series (Camping World Truck Series). He is survived by his wife, Vickie S. Renegar; sons, R. Wayne Renegar, Jr. (Catrina) and Michael L. Renegar (Lee Ann); his beloved grandchildren, Shaine Renegar and Cazwyn Renegar; brother, Glenn W. Renegar (Peggy) of Costa Rica; mother-in-law, Leo Stanberry; sisters-in-law, Cathy Crawley (Bill), Amber Burnett (Corbin); brothers-in-law, Randy Stanberry (Cindy), Kevin Stanberry and Tammy. His memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Monday, March 23, 2009 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville by the Rev. Michael Faircloth and the Rev. Robert G. Crummie. The family will receive friends after the service at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hospice and Palliative Care Center (Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home), 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103 or Cancer Service, 3175 Maplewood Avenue, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. Heartfelt thanks are extended to his faithful, loving caregivers, “Mom”, Randy, Kevin, Michael, Wayne, and Catrina. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Renegar Family.
