ROMA CARAVANS JOIN SBR FOR 2009/2010

Stone Brothers Racing
September 28, 2009

Alex Davison’s personal helmet sponsor, Roma Caravans has joined SBR as a team sponsor for the remainder of 2009 season and will feature on the windscreen of the IRWIN Racing Falcon until the end of 2010. The Roma logo appeared on the front bars of both SBR’s SP Tools and IRWIN Racing FG Falcons at the QLD Raceway event, the prominent position on the #4 and #9 cars was used to highlight the beginning of the relationship.

The Melbourne based company that specialise in customised, quality built caravans have supported Davison since the start of the 2009 V8 Supercars season.

Alex Davison – Driver, IRWIN Racing

“My fiancé Mel and I were looking to buy a caravan last year and after looking at all the different brands we decided to go with Roma. During the whole process we got to know Brendan and the team really well and they showed a lot of interest in racing.”

“It was great to have Roma’s support heading into the series this year and to have them join SBR is fantastic. They can now certainly feel like a part of the team and leverage the benefits that V8 Supercars has to offer.”

Brendan Palmarini – Roma Caravans

“When we first met Alex we had no idea about his profession. Over lunch one day he mentioned he raced cars for a living and we were instantly keen to help support him and his career. Our sponsorship of Alex is more a friendship than a business relationship, Roma is proud to be associated with him.

“After being introduced to Ross and the team at SBR the chemistry was just there, we love being involved with another family business like SBR that gives young guys the opportunity to race for a living.”

Ross Stone – SBR Team Principal

“The relationship with Roma came about by introduction at the track through Alex. Brendan and his team then joined us for a ride day at Calder and were very enthusiastic about V8 Supercars.

“Roma and SBR are both family businesses so I know the sponsorship is a good match for us.”

ROMA CARAVANS COMPANY PROFILE

Established in 1928, Roma Caravans has created a name that is richly embedded in caravan history.

Victorio Palmarini passed his operation to son Tony in 1962. Since that time, Tony's sons Brendan and Mark have joined their dad in building Roma to the innovative empire it is today. The Palmarinis' along with their talented and visionary crew have made Roma one of the longest and established caravan manufacturers in Australia.

Roma's vision is not to be the biggest producer of caravans and travel vehicles. More important is to take the time to expertly create a product that responds to each need, design and quality that our customers deserve. We want every caravan that leaves our manufacturing floor to be as unique as the person who leaves with it. We will maintain being on the leading edge but will always make our buyer's wish to claim all of our priority.
