At least 25 people have been killed in northern Iraq when a car collided with a bus that was filled with vacationing families.

Iraqi police say the collision took place Saturday near Kirkuk, a city about 280 kilometers north of Baghdad.

Police say the bus caught fire after the crash and passengers were trapped inside. At least one person in the car was also killed.

Investigators say the bus was carrying travelers from Baghdad to the Kurdistan region.
