Hideki Mutoh
June 23, 2007

NEWTON, IOWA

THE MODERATOR: We have the number three and number two drivers in the Iowa 100 Indy Pro race, the first ever at Iowa Speedway. Hideki Mutoh, a rookie from Tokyo and also Indianapolis with Panther Racing, we're honored to have you with us today; and Wade. If you could tell us how your run went on the track and what you thought of your run here at Iowa Speedway and how the race went from your point of view.
HIDEKI MUTOH: It was a tough race, especially I start from eighth place, so I needed to pass as many as I can. So it was a tough race. And last yellow caution made my tire pressure low, and that's why I couldn't catch the front guys. It was tough, yeah.

Q. Can you tell us how the incidents affected your driving from, say, after lap 83? There were some accidents on the track. Did that affect your strategy at all or how you ran the race?
HIDEKI MUTOH: No, nothing. It was behind me.

Q. Did you enjoy the race?
HIDEKI MUTOH: Yeah, I enjoyed it, yeah, overtaking the cars.
