De Palma Out of County Jail; No More Speeding, He Declares

The New York Times
December 13, 1922

MADERA, Cal., Dec. 12.—Ralph de Palma, automobile racer and Madera County jail inmate the last nine days, was ordered released today by the Madera Parole Board, which cut twenty-four hours from his ten-day term for good behavior.

"Speeding! I'm through as far as the highways are concerned," De Palma said. "No one was in any danger from me, but there cannot be two kinds of laws, I guess."
