TO AID TRAFFIC POLICEMEN.

TO AID TRAFFIC POLICEMEN.

The New York Times
December 8, 1922

Association Will Award $200 to Help Disabled Men on Half Pay.

Every disabled traffic policeman who has been on the sick list for a month or more, which enforced absence from duty automatically puts him on half pay in the Police Department, is to receive a Christmas present of $200 from the Traffic Policemen's Association. At a meeting of the organization last night at the Waldorf-Astoria, for the installation of newly elected officers, it was said that a committee would meet before the holidays to investigate the cases of sick traffic men and make recommendations for distributions of the awards of cash.
