Stutz Motor Reorganization.
The New York Times

The Stutz Motor Car Company of America, organized by Allan A. Ryan and associates, has completed the purchase of all of the shares of the Stutz Motor Car Company of Indiana, the manufacturing concern. The latter was organized in 1911 with $50,000 of capital, which was increased to $100,000 in the following year by the declaration of a stock dividend of 100 per cent. Since that time cash dividends of $700,000 have been paid on the $100,000 of stock. The company turned out 1,079 cars last year, but is now completing a plant which will provide for a large increase in production.

Topics in Wall Street: The Demand for Trucks (excerpt)
The New York Times

By waiting until the last minute before ordering much of the equipment needed to move an army the War Department has run into difficulties in connection with articles needed at once, according to the understanding in Wall Street. It was reported yesterday that one of the largest manufacturers of trucks had received orders that would have taken all the plant's output for months ahead, and had been compelled to refuse the new business because of earlier contracts placed here on behalf of foreign Governments. The rejected order had to be split up among several companies in order to obtain reasonably prompt deliveries. A truck for use in the field is only built on order, and it is likely that the United States will have to make arrangements with foreign buyers in order to get machines now ready for shipment.
