Investigation of Deadly Vehicle Accident on Blackfeet Indian Reservation

A 19-year old male from East Glacier, Montana was killed in a one vehicle crash that occurred on April 8, 2010. The name of the deceased is Jeremy Begay, whose family has been notified of the death. The incident happened on the Blackfeet Indian Reservation on U.S. Highway 89, mile marker 25.2, the Hudson Bay Divide, at approximately 2:00 a.m. It appears the vehicle was traveling from St. Mary to Browning when it went off the road and rolled. Three of the five occupants were ejected. Two of the occupants were taken to a hospital in Great Falls; two other occupants were taken to a hospital in Browning.

The FBI, Bureau of Indian Affairs, Glacier County Sheriff’s Office, Montana Highway Patrol, and the Glacier County Coroner are collaborating in this investigation which is ongoing.
