Illinois Man Charged With Bank Robbery and Interstate Transport of Stolen Vehicle

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK—John C. Richter, United States Attorney for the Western District of Oklahoma, announced today that DAVID LOUIS SIANY, 51, of Illinois, was indicted for a January 27, 2009, bank robbery of the BancFirst located at 809 Cornell Parkway in Oklahoma City, and for the interstate transport of a stolen 2005 Dodge Caravan from Illinois to Oklahoma on February 3, 2009.

If convicted, Siany faces up to 20 years on the bank robbery charge and 10 years on the interstate transportation of stolen vehicle charge. The public is reminded that the indictment is merely an accusation and that the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty. Reference is made to the indictment for further information.

This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Chris Stephens and Dave Walling.
