Media Advisory

As part of its effort to improve safety by examining four high priority safety concerns, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has released reports on the first two to be addressed - vehicle compatibility and rollover mitigation. Both reports are now available on the agency's World Wide Web site: http://www.nhtsa.gov/IPTReports.html

The two other priority issues being examined in this manner are impaired driving and safety belt use.

The agency is offering the public the opportunity to comment on each of the four documents, the remaining two of which will be posted during the next few weeks on NHTSA's Web site and also on the U.S. Department of Transportation's docket management system at http://dms.dot.gov/.
