The U.S. Department of Transportation's National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) today posted the results for all two-door, model year 2004 New Car Assessment Program (NCAP) crash test results on the agency's World Wide Web site, http://www.safercar.gov/. The newly tested, medium size, Toyota Camry Solara is the only two-door vehicle to earn the top rating of five stars for both the driver and right front passenger in the frontal impact crash test.

Previously tested two-door coupe scores and other model year 2004 vehicle test results also can be found at that Web site.

New model year 2004 ratings for frontal impact are provided for the Hyundai Accent two-door coupe, Hyundai Tiburon two-door coupe, and the Toyota Camry Solara two-door coupe.

New model year 2004 ratings for side impact provided for are the Hyundai Accent two-door coupe, Hyundai Tiburon two-door coupe, and the Saturn Ion two-door coupe .

Other scores being posted today are frontal impact scores for the Acura 3.2 TL four-door sedan and the Mitsubishi Galant four-door sedan . Both of these vehicles earned top ratings of five stars for frontal impact. The side scores for these vehicles will be posted as soon as they are available. In addition, the agency is posting the side-impact score for the Ford Freestar Van and the Mercury Monterey Van whose frontal scores were released on Jan. 6.
