CHARLOTTE NC (May 30, 2012) – Garrett Marchant, driver of the No. 77 Lone Star Car Transportation / Walgreens of Chino Valley, AZ Limited Late Model Chevy, had a great Memorial Day weekend as he had his best run in his Limited Late Model career Saturday night. The evening started off with struggles for him and his BMR Motorsports team, but with a strong qualifying effort and determination from Marchant, the No. 77 finished in 8th position at Southern National Motorsports Park. With this finish Garrett Marchant moves into the top ten in the point standings as he looks forward to his first win of the season.

“The day started off rough, car was way too tight. My BMR Motorsports team made big adjustments during the first two practices and then during the third practice the car started feeling better. The No. 77 Lone Star Car Transportation / Walgreens of Chino Valley, AZ Chevy did well on longer runs rather than the shorter runs. During the race we were running tenth and then got turned around, around lap three. After the restart I drove back from 16th to fifth and in the closing laps fell back to seventh. I am going to have to step up on the wheel a little more and learn some more in this new car,” Garrett Marchant explained about his night at Southern National and his feelings towards the next few races.

The next race for the No. 77 BMR Motorsports Team will be this weekend at Southern National Motorsports Park in Kenly, NC as Marchant will race in the South East Limited Late Model Series. The series is returning for its rain make up race this weekend where Marchant will compete in the 40 lap challenger race.
