LEBANON, Tennessee (Wednesday, August 8, 2007) – - Just two races into switching from Chevrolet to Dodge, Pennington Motorsports is showing extreme signs of life despite being ripped from a top-five finish two weeks ago at O’Reilly Raceway Park.

Even with some bruised confidence, the Pennington Motorsports team prepares to return to the track with a vengeance for Saturday’s TOYOTA Tundra 200. The team is bringing the same Dodge Ram they debuted with at Kentucky Speedway last month and the team feels they have made great strides in the performance of the truck since the Built Ford Tough 225.

“We’re going to Nashville this weekend to prove that ORP was no fluke,” said Jason White, driver of the No. 7 Hooter’s Energy Drink Dodge. “We had a good run spoiled by some aggressive driving. It’s racing, it’s going to happen, but we were in contention to post a season best finish, so it was very tough to swallow.”

“Thinking ahead to this weekend, I like Nashville Superspeedway; it’s a very unique facility. It reminds me a lot of Dover and I adapted well to that track in the past. I have a good feeling about this weekend’s event; we just need a little luck to be on our side.”

Since ORP, the team has relocated shop and continued to expand their horizons with the characteristics the Dodge Ram shows compared to their former manufacturer.

“The move to Dodge has been wonderful for Pennington Motorsports,” continued White, a native of Virginia . “We are learning new information every day and the support from Dodge has been incredible. We owe it to them to score a top-10 finish in Saturday’s race, and I’m going to do everything in my power to make that happen.”

White has also boasted about the horsepower that the team has been receiving from Arrington Motorsports. “The motors have been great, the horsepower is there,” exclaimed White. “Our motors should be top of the line again this weekend. I also want to thank everyone at Arrington for their support”

Not only has the switch in manufacturer increased the team’s morale, but the addition of veteran crew chief Barry Dodson has brought a new wave of knowledge and experience to the rookie team which is transforming back on the racetrack.

“I really enjoy working with Barry,” sounded White. “He is a talented crew chief and I feel our communication is improving each week. I am able to give him the feedback he is looking for and it’s paying off with our recent performances on the track. We’re heading to the “ Music City ” this weekend and we would like nothing more than to make our own sweet tune on Saturday.”

The team has also been preparing for the upcoming events at Bristol Motor Speedway where White will perform double duty competing in both the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series event and the NASCAR Busch Series event, behind the wheel of the No. 08 GunBroker.com Dodge Charger.

“Things have been very busy at the race shop,” continued White. “The guys are working hard to put two (Busch and Truck) competitive programs together. We’re going to be back for a full season of NCTS racing in 2008, so we would like to use the rest of the season to build some momentum and garnish some finishes which will put us in prime position for next season.”

Dwayne Gaulding of Pennington Motorsports offered, “We’re all excited about the opportunities Nashville presents to Pennington Motorsports. We’re banking on a good run. The team has shown that we can run in the top-five competitively. Now it’s time to do it on a regular basis. I know Jason is pumped and the team is excited, the chance of finishing in the top-10 on Saturday is very realistic.”

In addition to Hooter’s Energy Drink, GunBroker.com will serve as an associate sponsor on the team’s No. 7 Dodge this weekend at Nashville Superspeedway.

Several associates from GunBroker.com will be on hand to root for White as he’ll make his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series debut at Nashville Superspeedway in his 22nd career NCTS start.

“We’re excited to have representatives and supporters of GunBroker.com at Nashville Superspeedway this weekend, added White. “GunBroker.com is a great associate sponsor at Pennington Motorsports and we’re looking forward to having the extra support trackside this weekend.”
