SPARTA, Kentucky (July 16, 2008) - Looking to make his third ARCA RE/MAX Series (ARS) start of the 2008 season, Brett Hudson returns to his hometown track of Kentucky Speedway looking for his second straight top-10 finish in Friday night’s Kentucky ARCA RE/MAX 150.

After a tough start to the 2008 season at Salem Speedway, Owensboro, Kentucky native bounced back in spectacular fashion by guiding his No. 39 Hudson Machine Dodge to a solid and season best sixth place finish in May.

Marking his second career top-10 finish at Kentucky Speedway, Hudson returns to the fast and aggressive 1.5-mile oval looking to be in contention for his first ARCA RE/MAX Series victory in his own backyard.

“Kentucky Speedway has been good to us, real good to us,” noted Hudson, who runs a limited schedule in the ARCA RE/MAX Series. “It was nice to come to Kentucky and rebound from Salem, but now we’re looking for that elusive first win. It’s been a while since we’ve been in the top-five, so if we can’t notch the win, hopefully we’ll walk away with a top-five.”

After carrying the No. 39 for Roulo Bros. Racing, Brett Hudson Motorsports (BHM) has teamed up with longtime ARCA RE/MAX Series team, Hixson Motorsports with Hudson sporting the No. 29 emblem Friday night.

“It was a no-brainer to help out Wayne (Hixson) and his bunch,” sounded Hudson. “They have been around the ARCA RE/MAX Series forever and always have been courteous and polite in the garage and now we’re returning that gratitude. Teaming up with Hixson Motorsports also guarantees us a starting spot if it rains, so we can’t go wrong.”

Looking heavily at the Kentucky ARCA RE/MAX 150 entry list, Hudson knows that the competition is going to be stout, but he’s ready for the challenge.

“The entry list is impressive. You have some good drivers and teams in the mix for the race Friday night. It looks like it could be just as competitive or even more competitive this weekend. It puts us on our toes to make sure our Dodge Charger is up to snuff and ready to run hard.”

Speaking of the Dodge Charger, the former Bill Davis Racing (BDR) piece has produced stellar results for the avid late model competition. With top-10 performances at Kentucky and Chicagoland last year and an additional top-10 performance at Kentucky two months ago, Hudson looks to add another top-10 tally to the car’s record sheet.

“This car has always run well. We may not have all the horsepower that some of the other teams have but the car has done its job. It responds well to changes and relatively easy to drive. Hopefully we can continue the impressive streak with this piece Friday night.”

The BHM team will host Hudson Machine Shop and G&A Trucking as sponsors this weekend at Kentucky Speedway.

“I really want to give a sincere thanks to G&A Trucking,” Hudson stated. “Without the help of Gary of G&A Trucking we would not be racing this weekend or been racing this year period. He is an avid supporter of this race team and I want him to know how much we appreciate him!”

Hudson went on to say, “sponsorship is tough right now but Brett Hudson Motorsports is extremely grateful to all of our sponsors who have signed onboard this weekend. We’re looking for our third straight top-10 finish at Kentucky Speedway and hopefully with a little luck we’ll accomplish that with flying colors.”

Additional sponsorship opportunities are still available for this weekend’s activities. Interested parties are encouraged to contact Lisa Hudson of Brett Hudson Motorsports at 270.929.2160 or hudson00@adelphia.net.
