Yesterday, President Clinton called for a tough law that saves lives -- a nationwide standard that encourages states to lower the threshold for drunk driving to a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of .08. I applaud the vote by the Senate on the Lautenberg/Dewine amendment to bring us one step closer to making this standard the law of the land.
