RANDLEMAN, North Carolina (July 1, 2011) - - When Ryan Wilson climbs aboard his No. 12 Randolph Bank Toyota Camry next week at Caraway (N.C.) Speedway for the Super-Five Series NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Independence Day event, it won’t be the familiar blue and orange paint scheme that the crowd has been accustomed to.

Recently, Ryan Wilson Motorsports (RWM) and Randolph Bank, announced the “Design The Ride” contest which offered the customers children of Randolph Bank to create a paint scheme for this special Wednesday night contest,

After potential designs poured in, Wilson carefully selected his final choices before choosing 11-year old Nathan Harris of Ramseur, North Carolina.

Harris’s Toyota Camry will feature the symbolic red, white and blue stripes signifying the patriotic American flag decked out on Wilson’s late model. Harris has been invited by the RWM team to participate in pre-race activities Wednesday night and receive some one-on-one time with Wilson.

“Nathan did a superior job, it’s a slick looking car,” said Wilson, who will also make his 2011 ARCA Racing Series debut later this month. “All of the paint schemes were cool and I want to thank all the kids for being a part of it. Nathan’s was just fitting for the race and for what we all believe America stands for. Hopefully I can do a good job on Wednesday night and put our No. 12 Randolph Bank Toyota Camry in victory lane.”

Mike Whitehead, President of Randolph Bank was enthusiastic about the turn-out and the hype surrounding next week’s race. “Everyone at Randolph Bank is thrilled with the turnout we received for the “Design the Ride” contest. It is clear that our customers are watching Ryan (Wilson) and support him in every way possible on and off the track. We’re looking forward to the big race next week and hope Ryan can go to victory lane!”

Seven-year old Tyler Lones of Asheboro, North Carolina came in second. His decorative piece also symbolized America’s freedom look but on the hood of the No. 12 was to commemorate a fallen classmate, Emmy Spicer. As runner-up, RWM will make an exception and place “In Loving Memory Of Emmy Spicer.” She passed away on June 2, 2011.

“Your heart cannot go out to the Spicer family enough. There’s nothing that we can do to ease their pain, but it’s an honor to have Emmy as our co-pilot next Wednesday night,” sounded Wilson.
