MILLVILLE, New Jersey (May 21, 2011) - - ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards championship contender Sean Corr found his comfort zone Saturday afternoon at New Jersey Motorsports Park (NJMP) giving the Goshen, New York native some stability heading into tomorrow’s ModSpace 150.

Corr, an avid dirt winner turned asphalt competitor will make his stock car road course debut at the 12-turn, 2.3-mile Thunderbolt Raceway in the No. 82 Roush Yates Performance / Roush Yates Engines / Empire Racing Ford Fusion.

Yielding on the experience of road racing ace Robb Brent, the Empire Racing team led by team manager John Bellesfield and crew chief Howard Bixman allowed Brent, a former ARCA winner to dial in their No. 82 Roush Yates Performance / Roush Yates Engines / Empire Racing Ford Fusion during the early stages of both practice sessions.

Confident in the car’s capabilities, Brent turned the wheel over to Corr where the 26-year old showed massive improvement through Menards Pole by Ansell qualifying where Corr delivered the 22nd fastest lap overall, his quickest run of the day.

“I’m having some fun,” said Corr. “The New Jersey Motorsports Park is a very neat facility but extremely technical. The Empire Racing team with the help of Robb (Brent) has given me a pretty good No. 82 Roush Yates Performance / Roush Yates Engines / Empire Racing Ford Fusion, and I’m looking forward to a good, safe clean-run tomorrow afternoon.”

Brent’s confidence in Corr’s quick adaptation to road racing has the ARCA veteran seeing good things for the family-owned team in the fifth race of the season.

“With every lap, Sean improved,” explained Brent. “You cannot ask for much more than that. He was very smooth on the throttle and did everything you’re supposed to do. I think you’ll see him climb through the field considerably and have a shot at a good finish tomorrow. I just want to thank the Empire Racing team for the opportunity to be here and assist.”

Additionally this weekend at NJMP, Empire Racing and Andy Belmont Racing will support Roush Yates Performance and Roush Yates Engines initiative with their mission to ship necessities to those affected by the devastating severe weather in the South within the past month. Items including newly-used clothes, water, canned food and even monetary donations will be accepted at NJMP this weekend. Items can be dropped off behind each of the team’s No. 1 and No. 82 transporters.

The ModSpace 150 (67 laps / 150 miles) is the fifth of 19 events on the 2011 ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards schedule. The fourth ever ARCA event held at New Jersey Motorsports Park is a two-day show. The field will take the green flag on Sunday May 22 shortly after 1:00 p.m. The race will not be televised but event coverage including live timing and scoring throughout the weekend will be available through the ARCA Racing Network (ARN) online at arcaracing.com presented by ARCANation.com.

Recently, Empire Racing and BoomText officially announced the “Hard Corr Fans” program powered by BoomText, a mobile marketing campaign which allows fans to pledge towards becoming an official member of the Empire Racing team – not to mention helping three of Corr’s personal charities. To join the campaign, fans just simply have to text the word “CORR” to 411247 where they will receive an automated safe-secured link to join the “Hard Corr Fans” team. The activation of the project continued this weekend at Toledo.
