Race Information: Event: Hantz Group 200 by Federated Car Care, Sunday, May 18 at 2:00 p.m. Local Time Track: Toledo Speedway Qualifying: Saturday, May 17, at 3:30 p.m. Local Time; Track Length: .5-mile paved-oval.

Kentucky Recap: Sheltra Motorsports bolted to their third top-10 finish of the 2008 ARCA RE/MAX Series season last Saturday night at Kentucky Speedway. Armed with a Dodge Charger, Patrick Sheltra maneuvered a 10th place qualifying effort only to mount a charge into the top-five for much of the 112-lap event. A late race pit stop for fuel sent Sheltra to the rear of the field only to see the Indiantown, Florida native charge to a seventh place finish, a season best.

Third Time A Charm?: Patrick Sheltra will make his third career start at Toledo Speedway Sunday afternoon. After qualifying 21st in the spring event last year, Sheltra would be collected in an early race incident and finish 28th. In the season finale at Toledo Speedway last October, Sheltra again qualified 21st before moving patiently through the field to score an eighth place effort.

Happy Birthday Sheltra Family: On Wednesday, May 14, sophomore ARCA driver Patrick Sheltra celebrated his 22nd birthday. Ironically, it is also the same birthday as his father Rick Sheltra. Both Father and Son spent the day in Indiantown , Florida celebrating with family and close friends.

Patrick Sheltra Foundation Joins Toledo Fan Fest Festivities: Sheltra Motorsports and the Patrick Sheltra Foundation have announced their support of the May 17-18 ARCA Fan Fest and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Ohio. Sheltra Motorsports, which fields ARCA RE/MAX Series race cars for driver Patrick Sheltra, has become a major associate sponsor of the ARCA Fan Fest, and the cause marketing effort on behalf of Big Brothers and Big Sisters. Sheltra Motorsports, in conjunction with the Patrick Sheltra Foundation, will host a luncheon for Big Brothers Big Sisters at the track on Saturday afternoon. Launched in 2008, the Patrick Sheltra Foundation (PSF) is designed to bring awareness to public charities of racecar driver Patrick Sheltra. Throughout the year, the PSF will focus on its charities of choice bringing exposure, awareness and contributions. Currently, the PSF supports the Shriners Hospitals for Children, Racing Against Drugs (RAD) and the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Ohio.

Are You Up To The Challenge?: Sheltra Motorsports will donate $1.00 to the organization for every lap the team completes in Sunday's Hantz Group 200 presented by Federated Car Care. The team has challenged other teams to match the pledge. So far, Spraker Enterprises and Team GLOCK Racing with driver Dexter Bean have vowed to match the $1.00 contribution. Hixson Motorsports with driver Donny Kelly has exceeded the pledge, vowing to donate $1.50 to the Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Northwestern Ohio for every lap the team completes in Sunday's ARCA RE/MAX Series race. If you're interested in making a pledge on behalf of the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwestern Ohio for the 4th Annual ARCA Fan Fest, please contact ARCA (734) 847-6726.

Autographs Anyone?: After his duties at the track on Sunday morning, Sheltra will participate in pre-race activities at the Toledo Speedway participating in an autograph session from 12:00 p.m. to 1:15 p.m. local time.

Watcha Haulin?: Crew Chief John Hayden has elected to bring Sheltra chassis number 4156 to Toledo Speedway this weekend. The primary machine will be the same Chevrolet that Sheltra maneuvered to a ninth place finish last month at Iowa Speedway. It also collected an eighth place finish at Toledo Speedway last October. Chassis number 4145 will serve as the team’s back-up automobile. Sheltra ran that former ppc Racing entry at Springfield (Illinois State Fairgrounds), DuQuoin State Fairgrounds and Berlin Raceway last year.

Point Standings: After round six on the 2008 ARCA RE/MAX Series schedule, Patrick Sheltra sits eighth in the championship standings accumulating 1,215 points. Sheltra is only 80 markers from moving into the fifth position currently held by SunTrust Rookie-of-the-Year candidate Tom Hessert, III. 150 credits separate Sheltra from the points lead held by SunTrust Rookie-of-the-Year candidate Ricky Stenhouse, Jr.

Looking Ahead: In addition to a full ARCA RE/MAX Series schedule, Sheltra Motorsports and driver Patrick Sheltra will also compete in a limited dirt late model schedule (UMP and WoO) while also advancing Sheltra’s asphalt career by launching a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (No. 35) career later this year.

Sheltra Motorsports, Toledo Speedway Pre-Race Quotes: Patrick Sheltra, driver of the No. 60 Ferguson Pipe Enterprises-FloraGanics Chevrolet:

On Kentucky : “While we are pleased with the performance, we are a little disappointed in our finish. The massive number of late race restarts really hurt us with the fuel mileage. All in all though, we are not going to complain. Our mile-and-a-half program is very strong and we’re hoping it will continue for the rest of the season.”

On Toledo : “I’m looking forward to Toledo this weekend. I have some unfinished business there. We had a good car and a solid finish there last fall. We’re bringing one of my favorite cars this weekend and I think we can put walk away from Toledo with our first win of the season.”

On The ARCA RE/MAX Series Fan Fest: “I am very excited about being apart of the fourth annual ARCA Fan Fest. It’s a good week of appearances and to have the chance to work with the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Ohio is an honor. It should be an enjoyable weekend for all.”

On Turning 22: “I don’t feel any older, yet. It was nice to be home with family and friends. The birthday is over though and I’m ready to get down to business this weekend in Toledo .”

Sheltra Motorsports, Toledo Speedway Pre-Race Quotes: Grace Sheltra, owner of the No. 60 Ferguson Pipe Enterprises-FloraGanics Chevrolet:

On Toledo : “I like Toledo Speedway. It’s a neat short track and seems to fit Patrick’s driving style. It should be another good weekend for the Sheltra Motorsports team.”

On The Tight Point Standings: “Looking at the standings, it’s amazing to see how tight they are. I don’t think this early into the season that the points have been this tight. We are doing what we need to do to stay in the championship chase. A good run on Sunday will allow us to exit this six race stretch with some momentum.”
