“Casola & Company Itching For Strong Run Under The Lights”

Dominick Casola
SPARTA, Kentucky (May 8, 2008) - - After a strong run delivered another sour finish last Sunday at Rockingham Speedway, Win-Tron Racing and driver Dominick Casola hope to have the spotlight shine on them in Saturday night’s Drive Smart! Buckle Up Kentucky 150 at Kentucky Speedway .

With successful prior experience for both Casola and Win-Tron Racing at the fast 1.5-mile speed plant, both parties are itching for a turnaround season in their sixth event under one banner. Strong runs derailed by bad racing luck have kept this team below the radar. However, the team is heading to Kentucky Speedway with the determination to overturn their early season struggles with the duo’s first top-10 effort.

“Last week’s run at Rockingham was overshadowed with a less than pleasant finish,” said Dominick Casola, driver of the No. 32 A. Casola Farms Dodge Charger. “We had a very strong car but unfortunately we got entangled with a lap car and it put an early end towards our first solid finish this season. With the run though comes encouragement and we feel that what we learned last weekend can aid us this weekend in Kentucky .”

While Casola has experience success and failure at the Sparta, Kentucky facility, the Holmdel, New Jersey native is quick to point out that he latched on to one of the best teams on the ARCA circuit and that should play into his favor Saturday night.

“Win-Tron Racing is known for their exceptional intermediate program,” Casola offered. “With the experience of the team led by my crew chief Mike Chaffee and Kevin Cywinski, I feel that the notes we’ve gathered at Kansas and Rockingham will be beneficial at Kentucky .”

When Casola was asked for his thoughts on Kentucky Speedway, he replied, “Kentucky Speedway is a fast place. I continue to be more comfortable with the mile-and-a-half tracks, the more I compete on them. What I’ve learned and the type of cars that Win-Tron Racing is bringing to the track, it should put us in prime status this weekend.”

Win-Tron Racing’s Nate Thiesse is anxious to deliver results in Kentucky and return his Minnesota-based ARCA team where they belong.

“We had a good weekend at Rockingham despite the finish,” Thiesse recalled. “We all can be encouraged by the performance of Dominick last weekend. He wants to run well, you can see it in his eyes. He is talented and gives no less than 150 percent each week; we just need to shake this bad luck. I feel that what has worked for us at Kentucky in the past will be sufficient enough for us to give Dominick a strong racecar with the outlook to deliver a strong finish.”

Entering Kentucky, Casola sits 19th in the ARCA RE/MAX Series championship standings advancing one position from last weekend’s event at Rockingham. 230 markers separate Casola from entering the top-10.

A. Casola Farms, a family-owned business will sponsor Casola’s No. 32 Dodge Charger this weekend at Kentucky Speedway. Casola will make his 28th career ARCA start and his third start at the 1.5-mile speed plant on Saturday night.
