Woman Says She's Glad Paul Walker Is Dead - Receives Death Threats

Paul Walker, star of the Fast and Furious movies, died on 1 December when the Porsche Carrera GT he was a passenger in lost control and crashed.

I was never a fan of the Fast and Furious movies, nor the acting skills of Mr Walker. But I am a petrol-head and a human being and was sad to hear of his death.

Then, on 3 December a website called Modern Women Digest published an article by a writer called Adora Bull entitled: "Top Five Reasons Why I Am Glad Paul Walker Is Dead".

It was written archly and knowingly that it would generate lots of hit to Modern Women Digest.

And guess what - that happened. To date there have been 1,139 comments - most of which call out the writer, Adora Bull, for being stupid, heartless, wicked, insensitive etc

But in slightly less fluent English. Here's an example:

"Your f*cking retarded if you dont have nothing good to say just Shut Your F*cking Mouth And Use Your Fu*king Brain.I hope you be the next to paul walker to cementery."

Then, in a case of No Shit, Sherlock, Modern Women Digest published another article entitled: "Adora Bull On Suicide Watch After Receiving Flood Of Death Threats From Paul Walker Fans".

Here's a quote from the article:

"As you can see, the hatred surrounding Ms. Bull’s latest piece of work is extreme indeed. Police currently have her under suicide watch, as Ms. Bull has been witnessed threatening her own life after the recent influx of hate mail surrounding her and her journalism career. We at MWD Headquarters are still unsure as to where they have taken Ms. Bull, but have been assured by the local police Chief that she is in good hands and in a safe location."

It does kind of smack of attention seeking and self-publicity. And, if Adora Bull does commit suicide, will people then write articles entitled, "Top Five Reasons Why I'm Glad Adora Bull Is Dead"?

What a strange world we live in.
