Triumph are doing rather well. Sales are up and their range of bikes, particularly the Street Triple and Tiger, are flying out of dealers. As a company they have never been keen to promote special finance deals and offers (unlike Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki and Honda) but if you walk into a Triumph dealer you might just be surprised at what you can negotiate.

Currently they are offering 0% finance with a 30% deposit on the 675 Daytona sports bike, which retails at £8,649, and are throwing in £1,136 worth of accessories. These include such goodies as an Arrow silencer, machined alloy radial brake levers, a quickshifter, and LED indicators.

The Speed Triple and Street Triple come with similar bundles of free kit which include a fly screen, belly pan and radiator covers. They don't offer 0% finance but if you put down a 30% deposit and ask nicely your dealer will be able to offer 0% finance.

The Tiger 800XC is selling so well that Triumph don't need to offer finance deals but they will throw in a free off-road experience day to anyone who buys one.

What Triumph dealers will never do is reduce their prices. No matter how hard you negotiate they won't budge on the price but ex-demo bikes are available at knock down prices. For example you can get £1499 off the price of 2012 model Speed Triple which has just a few miles on the clock. Indeed you won't have to break it in yourself with the frustrating rev limit for the first few hundred miles.

The reason for the finance deals are that the 675 models are being replaced next year. Triumph won't tell you this but the 2013 Street Triple will be announced soon with some major revisions including an underslung exhaust, slimmer tail section and a new swingarm. The 2013 Daytona has even bigger changes with a new subframe, exhaust, headlights and fairing. And when they do hit the showrooms they won't shift the old stock so they are quietly offering finance and accessories deals now to make sure they don't have too many lying around.

Modern Triumphs are brilliant motorcycles. The Street Triple has been voted best bike, bike of the year, most fun bike, best in class etc etc by all the major biking publications. I can add to that because I've been running one for six months and it is the most fun motorcycle I have ever ridden.

Grab yourself a bargain Triumph whilst you can.
