Michael Schumacher ha conquistato il suo ennesimo Gran Premio, quello cinese, in una gara resa difficile dalle avverse condizioni meteorologiche.

Ora il pilota tedesco ha raggiunto nel mondiale piloti il diretto avversario per il titolo, lo spagnolo Fernando Alonso, giunto secondo al traguardo, con 116 punti, ma in virtù del ritiro del compagno ferrarista Massa e della terza posizione del secondo pilota della Renault, Fisichella, la Renault ha superato la Ferrari nella classifica costruttori.
