SANTA FE – The New Mexico Department of Transportation strives to engage the public and invites them to comment on the state’s adoption of the FY2020-FY2025 State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP). The program will serve as the six year plan for the state’s proposed road, bridge and multimodal projects.

NMDOT has posted the 2020-2025 STIP plan online, to receive feedback on the federal and state highway projects, and other regional-specific projects taking place on local routes. The public is invited to share their comments online until July 19, 2019.

The STIP is required under federal legislation, developed by the NMDOT, and will work in tandem with state, local and tribal transportation agencies, as well as metropolitan and regional planning organizations. Projects included in the STIP are funded with a combination of federal, state and/or local funds.

The adoption is posted on the NMDOT website at https://estip.dot.state.nm.us/ .

The NMDOT STIP personnel will take comments by email. Please contact Jolenem.Herrera@state.nm.us.
