Investigators are releasing a composite sketch of one of the gunmen believed responsible for the robbery and murder of Brinks guard Alvin Kinney. Kinney was ambushed and executed by at least three armed assailants wearing body armor and face-shield masks in the Galleria area of Houston, Texas, on February 12, 2015. The FBI Violent Crime Task Force, Houston Police Department, and other area law enforcement agencies working the case are also expanding the digital billboard campaign touting an up to $100,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and identification of the masked gunmen and any others who took part in this violent robbery and murder.

Beginning today, Clear Channel Outdoor and Lamar Advertising will post updated messages publishing the newly released composite sketch and offering the reward on digital billboards across Texas and Louisiana. The previous campaign posted messages on billboards only across the Greater Houston area. Investigators believe the gunmen involved may be traveling between the two states and may be responsible for other crimes. Investigators say the man depicted in the composite sketch was one of three gunmen and the driver of the stolen white Ford F-250 truck used in the robbery and murder. The vehicle, a photo of which was previously released, was stolen from the Pipeline Grill in Baytown, Texas in May of 2014. The stolen Ford F-250 had a tool box. At the time of Kinney’s murder, it also had blue and white decals with the wording “HRT Houston Road Transit JV” on the driver’s side and rear tailgate of the vehicle. The decals were added after the vehicle was stolen.

Crime Stoppers of Houston is sponsoring the reward with $50,000 being offered by Brinks and $50,000 being offered by the FBI. Anyone with information is asked to call 1-800-CALL-FBI, or call Crime Stoppers of Houston at 713-222-TIPS (8477). Text TIP610 plus your tip to CRIMES (274637), or visit www.crime-stoppers.org.
