Driving Tips You May Want To Know

Driving Tips You May Want To Know

What do we know about cars? We do know that driving while intoxicated is a no-no and the same goes for driving when drowsy. We also know that we all should buckle up each time we ride a vehicle. Another thing that we know is that too much junk in our vehicles make our vehicles spend too much fuel. These are just some of the basic things we know.

However, one safety and health expert who is known internationally, Debra Holtzman, has set out her share of tips on what we all could do to make sure that each time we drive, we are driving safely. Sometimes, we all do need a little prodding now and then to remember the things that we need to keep in mind. Going through the list, one would see that it takes more to having the right International parts to be safe.

According to Holtzman, one of the things that we should be alert of is the medication that we are taking. Some medications have drowsiness as one of its effects. If you are taking any medications, take the time to read through the packaging or through the label to find out any side effects. If you find out that drowsiness is an effect of your medication, make sure that you are not behind the wheel after taking the medicine.

Keeping children safe is also one of the concerns that Holtzman discussed. One of her tips is to make sure that all children passengers who are 12 years old or younger should be properly secured with the right restraint system when in a vehicle. Make sure that you check the right restraint system for the child’s age, size, and weight. Also, it is important to note that children should be seated in the rear rather than in the front for studies found out that during crashes or accidents, children who are seated behind actually have 30% more chances of getting injured or dying.

Doors of the vehicle you drive should always be locked and it does not matter if you are idling or if you are driving in some street. The thing here is that, you would never know when intruders would come opening your doors and robbing you of your cash when you are stuck in traffic. Locking your doors also help keep children safe for they can play around with the doors and find themselves falling out of the vehicle.
