DAYTONA BEACH, Florida (February 2, 2010) - - For ARCA Racing Series (ARS) veteran Bryan Silas capturing his first career victory in Saturday’s Lucas Oil Slick Mist 200 at Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway would historically be the biggest win of his young racing career but it also would be a memory that lasts a lifetime.

Silas’s chances of winning at the “World Center of Racing” are promising following a strong pre-season test at the 2.5-mile superspeedway in December.

Aiding in the Stuart, Florida native’s bid for a trip to victory lane for Fast Track Racing is new Crew Chief Bryant Frazier who will call the shots for the 2010 ARCA Racing Series presented by RE/MAX and Menards season.

“The test really went better than we anticipated. Bryant and all the guys did a fabulous job throughout the weekend getting our car faster and handling comfortably. I’m hoping we’ll be in that same comfort zone this weekend,” sounded Silas.

“We had a productive test at Daytona and that has kept my confidence up during the off-season. We’ve made some changes during the break but I feel our team won’t miss a beat,” mentioned Silas, who will make his fourth career Daytona start this weekend.

After propelling himself to a career best sixth place finish in the 2009 ARCA championship standings, the 22-year old athlete knows that his team can continue to inch up the ladder and become a serious threat for the series title.

“We’re definitely optimistic. We’re hopefully going to play our cards right, be at the right place at the right time and hope with a couple races to go – we’ll be in the battle to collect the championship trophy,” he said.

In three previous ARCA starts at Daytona, Silas has collected two top-25 finishes including a personal best of 23rd in his inaugural Daytona run in 2007. Last February, Silas qualified an impressive 12th notching his career best qualifying run on a restrictor plate track.

Nason, Yeager, Gerson, White & Lioce P.A., American Custom Yachts, Inc., Palm Beach Grading (PBG) and Rockingham Speedway will all sponsor Silas’s Ford Fusion for his 72nd career ARCA start.

The Lucas Oil Slick Mist 200 at Daytona (80 laps / 200 miles) is the first of 20 events on the 2010 ARCA Racing Series presented by RE/MAX and Menards schedule. The 47th ARCA race held at Daytona is a three-day show.
