CONCORD, NC (6/18/09) – Venturini Motorsports, coming off another first class run at Michigan International Speedway, before mechanical problems ruined their one-two day, are locked and loaded for their much anticipated Mansfield debut with UARA Stars Champion Jake Crum. The Tim Richmond Memorial ARCA RE/MAX 200 will mark Crum’s first ARCA RE/MAX Series start and first with the famed team.

“I am really excited for this great opportunity that I have been given,” exclaimed Jake Crum. “Venturini Motorsports is without a doubt the best team in the ARCA Series and I am truly humbled at this great opportunity.”

The ARCA RE/MAX Series in 56 years of competition has never visited the famed half-mile in Northern Ohio. Venturini Motorsports however has been working with several Camping World Truck Series teams in preparation for Saturday’s event. NASCAR visited the track from 2004-2008 allowing the teams to gain a wealth of knowledge about the facility.

Crum, racing the fast paced bull-ring circuit that is the UARA Stars for the past three years, is no stranger to door banging, wheel rubbing, tough grit short track racing. In three years, he has amassed an impressive three wins, 15 top fives, 22 top ten’s and the 2008 UARA Stars Championship in the ultra competitive circuit.

“Jake (Crum) is truly a talented young racecar driver and I can’t wait for the opportunity to work with him this weekend in Mansfield,” claimed Venturini Motorsports Crew Chief Billy Venturini. “He has shown his die-hard determination, concentration and will to win while racing in UARA and I know that will translate over to the ARCA RE/MAX Series.”

Crum had the chance to test with Venturini Motorsports last month at Tri-County Speedway with chassis No. 004. Crum tested along with Carolina 200 winner Sean Caisse, and both set new fast times during the day long test. Venturini Motorsports will be bringing chassis No. 004 for Crum this weekend at Mansfield, where he will pilot the No. 25 Cool It Thermo Tec Venturini Motorsports Chevrolet Monte Carol SS.

“I was fortunate enough to get a chance to test my Mansfield car last month at Tri-County, and it handled amazing,” said Crum. “Billy and the whole Venturini Motorsports crew prepared me a fast car and I can’t wait to go racing this weekend. I want to thank Sean (Caisse) for giving me some pointers during the test, it was great to have him as a teammate, and I learned a lot.”

Make sure to catch the No. 25 Cool It Thermo Tec Venturini Motorsports Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS driven by Jake Crum this weekend at Mansfield Motorsports Park. The Tim Richmond Memorial ARCA RE/MAX 200 will have live audio and video on www.arcaracing.com Saturday June 20, 2009 at 8:30pm EST.
