Toyota to Resume Production at All Plants

VOA Breaking News (Voice of America)
Federal Register
April 81, 2011

Toyota Motor Corporation said Friday it will resume car production at all of its plants in Japan between April 18 and 27.

Since the March 11 earthquake, the world's biggest automaker had halted assembly at all but two of its 18 Japanese factories that make Toyota and Lexus cars.

The quake and tsunami crippled auto parts suppliers in northern Japan and caused severe parts shortages.

Toyota is still struggling to overcome a series of global recalls involving a number of design failures, which affected around 10 million vehicles.
