Toyota to Suspend Production at European Plants

Japan’s Toyota said Wednesday it will suspend production at five European plants for several days because last month’s earthquake and tsunami in Japan has caused parts shortages.

Toyota says the plants will temporarily shut down in late April and May.

The work stoppage in Europe comes of the heels of work cutbacks in North America last month.
