TOLEDO, Ohio (May 14, 2011) - - Two ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards practice sessions later and New Philadelphia, Ohio native Chad Hackenbracht is feeling comfortable heading into tomorrow’s Menards 200 presented by Federated Car Care at Toledo Speedway.

Hackenbracht, driving the No. 58 Tastee Chocolate Apples Chevrolet Impala SS along with his family-owned CGH Motorsports team invaded Toledo Speedway this morning looking to finish what they started at Salem (Ind.) Speedway two weeks ago when a strong top-five finish was foiled after transmission issues.

While the transmission is not expected to be an issue for tomorrow’s race, the CGH Motorsports team led by crew chief Rob Torrey and director of competition Kevin Reed focused on race setup and getting their 19-year old protégé acquainted with the Northern Ohio-based track.

Mother Nature thwarted the days schedule after persistent rain showers soaked the half-mile oval throughout the morning forcing ARCA Racing Series officials to revise the itinerary, which now included two practice sessions and the cancellation of Menards pole qualifying presented by Ansell.

In the first practice, Hackenbracht, the 2008 National Asphalt Legends champion produced the 18th fastest lap after mounting a lap of 17.119 seconds at 105.146 miles per hour. Hackenbracht expressed a bit of a tightness condition with his Chevrolet bow-tie which allowed the team to make some adjustments heading into the final 50-minute practice run.

During that session, the rising star improved significantly. Hackenbracht’s quickest lap of 16.724 seconds at 107.630 miles per hour soared the CGH Motorsports team to 12th in the overall rundown.

“I’m happy with our day,” said Hackenbracht, who will make his second career short track debut Sunday. “We were able to improve the car and the more I was on the track the more comfortable I became. I was able to get behind Dakoda (Armstrong) and Matt (Crafton) a little bit and that helped too. Hopefully the weather will cooperate tomorrow and we can get the race in and have a good run.”

With qualifications erased, Hackenbracht will start the 200-lap event from 27th according to the ARCA Racing Series rule book which sets the lineup based on 2010 car owner points.

Currently, Hackenbracht, driver of the No. 58 Tastee Chocolate Apples Chevrolet Impala SS locks 18th in the championship standings, just 45 points from the top-15 and 135 markers from invading the top-10.

Additionally, race fans will receive a bonus this weekend as at the concession stands, a variety-mix of the smashing popular Tastee Apples will be available for purchase and consumption.

In 12 prior ARCA events, Hackenbracht has maneuvered four top-20 finishes including a career-best 13th at Pocono (Pa.) Raceway in 2010. Two ninth place qualifying efforts at Kansas Speedway (2010) and Salem (Ind.) Speedway (2011) are his best time trials efforts to date.

CGH Motorsports is actively seeking additional marketing partners for the full 2011 ARCA Racing Series schedule. Single, multi and full-season placements are available on the team’s No. 58 entries. Interested parties are urged to contact Jordan Dahl at 570.234.5449 or jordan@cghmotorsports.com.

The Menards 200 presented by Federated Car Care (200 laps / 100 miles) is the fourth of 19 events on the 2011 ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards schedule. The 69th ARCA race at Toledo Speedway is a two-day show. An hour on-track autograph session has been etched in from 12:00 p.m. – 1:15 p.m. on race day (Sunday). The contest will take the green flag shortly after 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 15. The race will not be televised nationally but event coverage including live timing and scoring throughout the weekend will be available through the ARCA Racing Network (ARN) online at arcaracing.com presented by ARCANation.com. For the second consecutive race at Toledo Speedway, the anticipated thriller will be available locally on television through the Buckeye CableSystem Sports Network (BCSN) Sunday night at 9:00 p.m. All times are local.
