Infiniti Prepares for the Production of its Etherea to Match Audi's A3
Infiniti currently prepares for the production of the Etherea concept car which made its debut at the Geneva Motor Show this year to rival the Audi A3.
The Etherea which is recently dubbed as the G25 sedan is intended to become Infiniti's entry level model. This is part of the company's commitment to serve the luxury market's lower end and provide an additional option for car finders in this particular segment.
But no matter how hard they deny the issue the upcoming production of this sedan is actually considered as Infiniti's strategy to compete with existing models which is also their vehicle's closest rivals such as the likes of the Lexus CT 200h and Audi A3.
Given these assumptions, Infiniti seems to be readying the G25 for production and this involves ensuring that the sedan would be able to coupe with the expectations from luxury car buyers who are trying to find cars for sale. In addition to this, Infiniti is also preparing their upcoming sedan to match the standards posed by competitors.
Due to this, the G25 will most likely look like the Etherea concept. This would offer potential luxury car buyers with styles that they expect to find from an entry-level luxury vehicle. For added appeal, this sedan will have a windshield that is sharply raked. Besides this, Infiniti would also be using the C-pillar of its Essence show car.
With these preliminary revelations on the styling and layout of the G 25's exterior appearance, the vehicle would probably look like a mixture of the elements found in most coupes, crossover, and hatchbacks.
However, Infiniti has not yet revealed the engine that they will be using to propel the G25. But there are rumours that the sedan might use a 1.8 turbocharged engine sourced from Mercedes Benz. Infiniti also failed to provide the details as to when the actual production of the G25 would start as well as the possible auto financing options that they might provide for this model.
As of the moment, the only thing that is certain is that there are plans for Infinity to extend its latest line-up by adding 10 new vehicles before the end of 2017.
