Wood has appeared in reenlistment ceremonies for nearly 100 Sailors during the 2002 racing season as part of the center for Career Development’s effort to encourage Sailors to “Stay Navy.”

Active duty and Reserve Sailors from Texas and Oklahoma treated the crowd of 47,000 NASCAR fans to a special all-Navy pre-race ceremony.
