Since the creation of James Bond in 1953 by writer Ian Fleming and the appearance of the iconic Aston Martin DB5 in the 1964 release of Goldfinger, super-spy James Bond's stories have involved some of the world's best high performance and luxury cars.

Once it appears as a car driven by James Bond in film, it joins an elite, exclusive group of cars known as "Bond Cars." After a decades-long run of Aston Martins, Bond switched to BMW due to a product-placement agreement with the automaker for the Pierce Brosnan era of the character.
