Short 1 yet again this week. This time, Todd couldn’t make it. db and Gabe carry on without him.
-We are not all in SoCal. Only db is. -db is NOT a geometry wizard.
-Todd was outvoted. -JCW Tires for Gabe? -Tires are black, round and they do wear out. -db lied? -Too much brake dust? Want better stopping power? Change your brakes. -To compress the rear rotors, you can get a tool or use one of many different ways. Check out this NAM thread or Harbor Frieght Tools.
-Tear off’s on wheels? Gabe, get on it!
-OEM Pads made of chalk? -db doesn’t like a big brake kit. -But big brakes do look hot. -Big news for the week and some rumor squashing -Don’t wd-40 or armor all your brakes. Really, we were joking. -This is the first non-Todd cast. What a trooper! -db kinda knows what he’s doin’. -Remember when installing the JCW intake, it’s 113 and white with red stripe. -ECU is skippable, but really, you should think twice about it.
We should all be back next week, barring anymore alien abductions or black 7 series pulling up. Can’t control those things.

Warranty issues because of mods you have done to your MINI
Be nice to your dealer, particularly your Service Advisor
Keep in mind, mods or track time can void your warranty. Your dealer may do what they can, but if they get MINI envolved, there might be problems
Lawyers make matters worse. No offense to the lawyers.
Don’t be paranoid. It is OK to mod your MINI. Just some things to keep in mind
Mods won’t void your warranty 100%.
Ask your dealer if they will install your mods.
Be nice!!!!!

Second show of the week we are calling the FAQ show, kinda.
We introduce a new sponsor. Be sure to check out Detailing Concepts, specializing in Zymol products and they sell the MINI specific car care kits.
It’s a Cooper or MC. It’s not standard or base. Remember you in the US, the MC is a hot rodded MINI One.
The Cooper is one car out of many.
It’s M – I – N – I, not Mini. Those are the classics.
Calling it a BMW MINI is like saying the GM Pontiac Grand Am, and nobody says that
For colors, it’s the first letter of the first word and the first letter of the second word. For example, Pepper White would be PW
The ‘S’ does NOT stand for supercharged!
The new MCS will NOT be the MCT
Plus a whole lot more!

We spend almost an hour asking Randy questions and can you believe he answered them?
Questions answered:
Gabe asks… Which is better; Schroth harness or G-Lock seat belt tensioner? Any benefit to upgrading to an aftermarket seat? Brings up why a 15% pulley is more reliable than a 19%.
Todd asks… What kind of numbers will he pull on the dyno?
db asks… What will the required safety equipment for racing cost? What beer is in the ‘fridge in the shop?
Randy, as always, answers our questions, even after spending all day driving to Chicago! And, as always, he gives us the best answers to our questions and puts up with our shenanigans! But, for a change, no dictionary was needed this time around ;)

We do a full recap of Todd’s GP adventures and go over what we will be covering for MTTS. Don’t forget, full coverage starts this coming Thursday, August 17th.
Make sure you are getting the shows! Use iTunes, Podnova, Yahoo! Music or your favorite news reader.

We interrupt our normally schedule MTTS updates with this, a REAL episode.
Since Todd is out of town, Gabe and I just cover the news. Mostly talk about the ’07 and our take on it, plus some discussion of MTTS. Oh yea, and we talk a little bit about the Buick Grand National. Not really sure how we got going on that.
Be sure to stay tuned for MTTS coverage starting tomorrow morning with the kick off party. Todd will be there with, what I am told, about 800 other MINIs! Should be a blast and I can’t wait!
Oh yea, no ‘show’ tomorrow, but we will have more MTTS coverage. Trust me ;)

Yet another news show for your listening pleasure. There were lots of big stories this week, and we hit ‘em all! Did I mention that we talked about AWD? I tried to get them to stop, but just couldn’t do it. It’s ok because I made up for it by talking about a news story 2 days early. Oops.
MPG Contest Winners! I had them, then I lost ‘em before doing the show. So, here now, the winners.
1st Place – MINI Cooper – The Wingnut household* wins an Outmotoring Arm Rest!
2nd Place – MINI Cooper S – A Grainger wins more Outmotoring goodness!
3rd Place – Non-MINI – 2 winners! Brian (aka MoonJockey) wins a set of MINI Valve Stem Caps from Outmotoring for his SUV and Ben wins a set of Motoringbadges for his RAV4!
Congratulations everyone! And thanks for playing along. If this is you, email us with the particulars so we can get your prizes sent out! And, keep an eye out for yet another contest. Soon, very very soon.

Getting ready for #100 next week, starting off letting you know how you can join us. Plus we cover news of the week.
We cover Gabe’s review of the Kumho Ecsta SPT fairly well. We are overdue for a real live tire show and I’m working on getting one together as I type this. Watch for it sometime after Woof 100. Don’t forget our disappointment in the lack of a good online translator, a car that changes to a briefcase and moving sidewalks.
Remember, for #100, you will need a program called Skype if you want to listen in live as we do the show with Todd and Gabe as normal as well as Michael and Robert. It should be a ton of fun! You don’t need a microphone to listen in, but if you have one, there might be something fun. There is also a chance this could blow up, but we are going to give it a go.
I am also in the process of getting a swag shop going. If there is a particular type of swag you would be interested in (shirt, hoodie, hat, coffee mug), let me know and I’ll be sure to have that for you as well!

Thanks also to the sponsors to the woofcast. Without them (or you supporting them), there is no way we would have been able to grow the show!
Aaron and Andrea over at Outmotoring.com for being with us the longest and kicking down mad prizes for contests!
Randy and Brian over at Webb Motorsports for sporting our decals on their cars and talking us up at the races.
Matt over at detailingconcepts.com for being one of the first and kicking in for prizes.
MINICarParts.net for sticking with us for so long!
Thanks to Todd for mixing the shows every week. For those of you that listened live, you should have an idea of how much work Todd has to do before the show goes up!
And of course thanks to Gabe for showing up. That’s all he does but he brings so much information and humor to the table (‘you just got passed by a horse!’) that the Woofcasts just wouldn’t be the same without him.
And finally, thank you for listening! And spreading the word. And giving us feedback. And… and… and… It’s because of you, the faithful WRR listener, Whiteroofradio.com is one of the highest rated automotive podcasts on the planet!
All y’all should plan on sticking with us for a while. We have some very cool things we still want to do with this little dog and pony show yet, and they all promise to be very very cool!

It’s backward week for us. Not really sure how it happened, but somehow we spent tonight not talking about the news.
Yes, the fires were that close to db. Big ups to the FD and Forestry guys for keeping the fires at bay! Todd is a Today Show watcher.
1 word: lasers. The way Gabe thinks Al Rocher lost all that weight.
Some good ranting about the Zune. I’m pretty sure we are all against it. No podcast support (when released), won’t work with WMP and if you have to buy ‘points’ to get music.
When we finally get around to MINI stuff…the tire swapping has begun. Winter is upon Gabe (and almost Todd) and the winter tires are coming out of storage. Todd is collecting wheels and Gabe has a single (!) Sumitomo tire in his garage. Yes, we believe it was the tire fairy or Gabe was going to build a tire swing. Todd tells us about jacking up the GP, and it’s pretty amazing. Really, lots of great show here tonight gang, worth checking it out.
Check back tomorrow for news. Of course, you should already be reading about it, as it happens, over at Motoringfile.
db mentioned Pacific Coast Hellway again. Some seriously funny stuff sometimes, definitely very NSFW. If you get around to it, I’d recommend listening to episode 348 for a serious rant about MS and Universal Music.

More GP talk? I keep trying to change the subject. I think after this tho the lads will be done for awhile. In case you missed it at Motoringfile, you can listen to all 3 of Gabe’s audio reviews below.
We spent some time talking about the new Sidewalk Edition convertible and some of the items that can be found in the Motoringfile Gift Guide. You don’t want to forget that special MINIac in your lives this year, and you don’t have much time left!
And WRR listen Murray has a great write-up about Xenon headlights. You can read the whole thing here.
Apologies now for the crappy sound quality from 119 and 120. Besides having bad connections, Murphy stopped by to ensure that all of our recording settings were totally borked as well. All of the equipment is back in the WRR labs getting a once over and our techs tell us that everything should be ship shape next time we record!
Digg users: WRR is now on Digg! You know what to do.
Stay tuned for Wednesday when I’ll be posting Robert’s final soundseeing tour of the year. He brought his younger cousins along again and I’m told it’s hilarious!

Ah yea, finally we do a show dedicated to the WRR drinking game. Of course, if you listen while motoring, you can’t play along.
A bit of a recap of the year. We talk about our personal biggest moments in MINI for the last year. Remember AMVIV 3? Or MoTD? And who could forget MTTS? Or Todd’s car being converted into the Mule v2.0? Good times good times. Did you have a favorite moment? Go ahead and share below!
Don’t forget the great interviews we had this year. Thanks to all of you for taking the time to talk to the listeners! And thanks to Michael and Patricia Babiskin for helping out this year filling in, working on the club/event casts and MTTS. And, of course to Robert for sending in those soundseeing tours to entertain us.
We are going to keep on going for ’07 too! More event coverage, more interviews, more reviews?
If you digg, take a quick sec to check out WRR @ digg. Of course, if you could digg us that would be pretty neat too. Also, please note the new stuff at the very top of the page if you haven’t already. Links to all of the WRR stuff that’s not at WRR. Knock yourselves out.
Until next year gang. Thanks for sticking with us so long! And, by all means, keep sharing us with anyone that will listen.
Be safe! Have a great new year!
