ARCA RE/MAX Series Race No. 6, Winchester ARCA 200
Winchester Speedway, Winchester , Indiana

Race Information: Event: Winchester ARCA 200, Sunday, May 6 at 1:00 p.m. Local Time Track: Winchester Speedway Qualifying: Saturday, May 5 at 4:15 p.m. Local Time; Track Length: .5-mile high-banked paved oval.

Kansas Recap: In his second start at Kansas Speedway, Bean continued his string of early season momentum in one of the shortest events of the season. After starting 15th, Bean moved quickly into the top-10 and was heading for a top-five before being trapped a lap down when a caution flag flew shortly after the team made their lone pit stop under green flag racing conditions. Bean held strong to finish 10th, the first car one lap down.

Rewinding Back: In last year’s ARCA 200 presented by Construct Corps, Bean qualified a solid 13th and was racing in the top-10 and closing in on the leaders before mechanical problems regulated the team to a disappointing 23rd place finish. He completed 174 of 202 laps.

Points Chase: With another solid run under his belts last Friday at Kansas Speedway, Bean jumped one position in the point standings to third twenty markers behind second place Frank Kimmel and 115 points behind leader Justin Allgaier.

Chassis Information: The BlackJack Racing team will unload this weekend the same Chevrolet Monte Carlo the team nailed a second place finish two weeks ago at Salem Speedway. The car is also responsible for the pole award at Salem Speedway last September. It has proven time and time again to be one of the strongest short track cars in the BlackJack Racing’s stable.

Welcome Back: Five Star Telecom, a longtime racing supporter of BlackJack Racing will step up and return as an associate sponsor this weekend at Kansas . Since their beginning in 1973, FST (Five Star Telecom), a long-time supporter of Bean’s racing career has become one of the largest interconnect companies in the Upper Midwest , with multiple locations serving the tri-state area.

Did You Know: At this same point last year, Bean had a rocky start to his rookie season. Heading into this same race, Bean had no top-fives or top-tens to his credit and was sitting outside the top-20 in driver standings. This year he is third in points, with one top-five and three top-10s in five events.

Jump Aboard: BlackJack Racing still has several openings on their No. 6 Chevrolet Monte Carlo for the third event on the ARCA RE/MAX Series schedule. Immediate one race or long term sponsorship positions are available. Contact the team today and be a part of the action.

BlackJack Racing, Winchester Speedway Pre-Race Quotes:
Dexter Bean, driver of the No. 6 Five Star Telecom Chevrolet Monte Carlo :

On Kansas : “I really can’t believe how short that race was. We had a good car, just ran out of time. We got trapped in the pits and it really hurt us in the rundown. Unfortunately, that’s the way it goes in racing. We rallied back and beat some pretty good cars to finish 10th. All in all, I can’t complain.”

On Winchester Speedway : “What a track. It has some very different characteristics. It’s a very fast track, which provides some great racing. We had a good run going there last year before mechanical problems took us out of the hunt. I’m looking for some redemption this weekend.”

On Points Chase: “What a difference a year makes. I’m feeling really good right now. This is the best start of the season that anyone can ask for. It seems that a lot of guys that struggled last year are having better seasons this year. That’s a good thing. We just have to keep doing what we’re doing and the points will come.”

On The Team’s Confidence: “The attitude at the shop and on the road has been great. Everyone loves when we run well. The biggest thing is the team wants to win. We all want to win. With the momentum that we have right now, I don’t think that’s out of the question for this weekend.’
