Kentucky Recap: Attempting to make his ARCA RE/MAX Series (ARS) debut last Saturday at Kentucky Speedway, Brode just missed the starting grid, qualifying 33rd in his No. 67 Tucson Dodge. The first 32 qualifiers were guaranteed to make the race but with no provisionals to fall back on, the team was forced to load up early and try again for Toledo .
Switching Numbers: Brode will carry the No. 48 for Sunday’s Hantz Group 200 by Federated Auto Care taking over for Nick Tucker, who’s piloted the machine for the past six events this season.
Inaugural Event: Brode, a successful late model driver from the Carolinas will once again attempt to make his ARS debut on Sunday. In addition, Brode will also attempt to make his inaugural event at the historic Toledo Speedway.
’07 Plans: Brode has joined the driver development program at Carter-2-Motorsports for the balance of the 2007 season. Brode is preparing to qualify for the remaining 16 events left on the schedule.
Iowa Following Toledo : With a welcomed weekend off next weekend, Carter-2-Motorsports plans to bring two cars to the next ARS event at Iowa Speedway next month with drivers Nick Tucker and Dan Brode aboard.
Support The Team: FreeFeds.org will continue their primary co-sponsorship of Brode’s Dodge at Toledo Speedway this weekend. A new sponsor to the ARCA RE/MAX Series this season, FreeFeds.org intent is simple. FreeFeds.org's sole purpose is to gain public support for adding parole for non-violent, non repeat offenders to the federal prison system. They are of the belief that the federal justice system is in need of a total reform. The organization, however, is mainly interested in working toward adding a system of parole for non-violent offenders as part of that overall reform.
And Thanks For Your Support: In addition to Tucson and FreeFeds.org, Carter-2-Motorsports will also carry associate sponsorship from Explore America , The Idaho Observer, RVrentToGo.com, 100fold.net, and Accelerating Developments International (ADI).
Carter-2-Motorsports, Toledo Speedway Pre-Race Quotes:
Dan Brode, driver of the No. 48 Tucson-FreeFeds.org Dodge Charger:
On Kentucky Speedway : “We just missed making the race. It’s a shame because we worked hard on our car following practice and it was a lot better in qualifying, but we quite didn’t have enough. I don’t think we have to worry about missing the show this weekend.”
On Toledo Speedway : “ Toledo presents another new challenge to me. I am looking forward to it but I’m also looking forward to driving the No. 48 which has performed well on the short tracks this season. I know everyone is watching me, but I’m ready to make a lasting impression on the series.”
On Carter-2-Motorsports: “I am enjoying working with everyone on the team. I was told they were a devoted bunch and they proved that at Kentucky . I’m sure it’s going to be a learning curve until we can get on the same page, but I have a feeling that’s going to come quickly.”
Carter-2-Motorsports, Toledo Speedway Pre-Race Quotes:
Roger Carter, owner of the No. 48 Tucson-FreeFeds.org Dodge Charger:
On Nick Tucker: “I want everyone to know that Nick Tucker is still a part of Carter-2-Motorsports team. Without him we would not be sitting where we are in the owners standings. We are all grateful for that. He has done a tremendous job promoting our team, sponsors and himself. We’ve had some good runs this season and he has proven himself as a driver, but we were unable to bring two cars this weekend to Toledo . Nick is an instrumental part of our rookie team and he will be back in Iowa .”
