De Palma to Drive Mercedes.

The New York Times
November 2, 1911

Another great racing driver will be seen in action in the Vanderbilt and Grand Prize races at Savannah, Ga.  After having entertained offers to drive several American and foreign racing cars, Ralph De Palma yesterday finally decided to pilot a ninety horse power Mercedes in the Vanderbilt Cup, just entered by the Daimler Import Company through Fred J. Wagner.  De Palma and Spencer E. Wishart will be team mates in the event, Wishart driving his racer with which he scored fourth place in the 500-mile race at Indianapolis and recently drove so sensationally at Fairmount Park.
