ISCARS Driver to Compete in Atlanta Truck Event

October 28, 2005

CONCORD, NC - This weekend Justin Hobgood returns to NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series action at the Atlanta Motor Speedway for the EasyCare Vehicle Service Contracts 200. This will be Justin's second time to run in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and his first time running on the 1.54-quad oval of Atlanta Motor Speedway. Justin is no stranger to Atlanta Motor Speedway, as he ran the ΒΌ mile flat oval at Atlanta Motor Speedway during his NASCAR Goody's Dash Series career. The 26-year old Winnsboro, SC native made his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series debut several weeks ago at Richmond International Speedway in the Cheerios Betty Crocker 200. He then qualified his No. 9 Germain Motor Co. Toyota Tundra eighth and finished in the 23rd spot.

"I am looking forward to driving on the big track at Atlanta," said Justin. "I have had success at the small track in the former NASCAR Goody's Dash Series, but racing the bigger track is more of a mind set to me. At the shorter tracks, you can be a little more aggressive. You have to calculate things more at the bigger tracks. I just love to race, so I don't care where we go. We had a good test at Chicagoland a few weeks ago. Having someone like Todd as a teammate is a huge benefit, especially for me. He has been a big help, as well as the Hillmans and Tom Ackerman, my crew chief."

Justin would love nothing more than to go back to victory lane, but knows a top-10 finish would not be a bad day at the office.

"I don't see why we can't bring this No. 9 Germain Motor Co. Toyota Tundra home in the top-10," said Justin. "I want to win the race, that's why we are going, but a realistic goal is a top-10. Of course getting a good qualifying effort in, like I did at Richmond, would be a great way to start things out too."

The EasyCare Vehicle Service Contracts 200 at Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton, GA we will be on October 29 th, 2005. Qualifying for The EasyCare Vehicle Service Contracts 200 is scheduled on October 29th at 11:30 am (EST). The green flag will fly at 3:15 pm (EST) on Saturday, October 29th and will be broadcast LIVE on SPEED Channel 3:00 pm (EST) (TV), MRN (radio) and XM Radio channel 144.
