DAYTONA BEACH, FL (June 19, 2006) – The International Sport Compact Auto Racing Series returns to Nashville’s Music City Motorplex Friday, June 23, 2006.
Last October Wade Day led the DASH Series competitors to the checkered flag to set the stage to secure the inaugural ISCARS Championship. Since then the series has added a weekly television show titled, ISCARS Full Throttle which airs on several stations across the country.
Beginning last week we have syndicated to stations in Texas, Nevada, Iowa, Nebraska, Michigan, and Rhode Island in addition to eleven southeastern states. The show began airing on Comcast Sports South but has been picked up by other local stations in areas that Comcast does not cover. America One Television, which has 150 stations in 48 states signed on with ISCARS just today.
“We are so excited about our television show,” said Randy Claypoole, ISCARS President. “Joe Moore and Tiffany Ricardo are doing an excellent job. The show is a magazine format with race highlights, technical talk, and interviews with drivers and their families. Our series is receiving more exposure than it ever has in its 32 year history.”
The ISCARS DASH event at Music City Motorplex will be the first of two visits to the famed 5/8 mile high banked oval. The second Nashville event will be on Friday, August 11, 2006.
Planned for Thursday, June 22nd is an autograph session for the patients at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital in Nashville. Danny Bagwell and Ray Paprota will be on hand from 2:30 to 4:00 to encourage the kids and give them a close up look at one of their racecars.
