ISCARS officials battled the rain all day on Friday and lost, causing the ISCARS Music City 100 to be postponed to Saturday at 9:30am CT. The event will most likely be shortened to 75 laps as well. The event will be broadcast live on the ISCARS website for those interested to keep up on.
The field will be set by points, placing Eric Wilson on the pole with Jake Hobgood alongside.
Before the rains came, ISCARS attempted to get qualifying in but a sudden downpour on Johnny Chapman's qualifying lap caused the No. 24 US Restoration/AlarmSouth Pontiac to make hard contact with the outside wall, enough that Chapman will not be running in Saturday's event.
Fans unable to attend the race can check in online for the first ever internet broadcast of an ISCARS event. PR Coordinator Tony Stevens will host the broadcast that users can tap into for free with Windows Media Player by clicking on this link -- http://216.234.250.250:8080/ISCARS.asf -- or pasting it into Windows Media Player (file, open URL) to listen to the event. The live stream should be available by 9:15am CT.
