SBR TO REMAIN ‘AT HOME’ WITH FORD

Stone Brothers Racing
December 20, 2010

Stone Brothers Racing’s long association with Ford Australia is set to continue for another two years thanks to a new agreement that will see the motor company lend factory support to the three-time Championship winning team until the end of 2012.

As part of the renewal the blue oval will be emblazoned across all three SBR Falcons with the #47 entry carrying the Ford logo on the front windscreen banner for the first time.

SBR Team Principal, Ross Stone is proud to continue the team’s loyalty to the manufacturer.

“In a tough new car market it’s fantastic to have Ford as a team partner at SBR for another two years,” said Stone.

“Knowing that we have their support for a further two seasons means we can now focus on our goal of securing another Championship and it would be great to have them as part of it following on from our previous successes together.”

“Ford has been there since the beginning of SBR and have shared in all of our achievements, including our three Championships (2003, 2004, 2005) and our Bathurst victory (1998).”

Ford's involvement in V8 Supercars will remain the company's single largest sponsorship and category investment. The new two-year strategic marketing partnership with SBR will allow the iconic brand to continue its long relationship with the Queensland based team.

"Ford Motor Company is both proud and delighted to be continuing its support of SBR for at least the next two years. Ross and Jimmy have shown that they have a very sharp eye for rising talent and run a very sound and successful outfit based on many of the values of Ford,” said Chris Styring, Group Manager Motorsport, Sponsorship & Events for Ford.

“We look forward to seeing the likes of Shane van Gisbergen challenge for the title and return SBR to their winning ways in the very near future."
