SBR REVEAL SLADE’S NEW LUCKY 7 LIVERY

Stone Brothers Racing
January 31, 2011

Stone Brother’s Racing (SBR) revealed a new look for Tim Slade’s #47 Lucky 7 Racing Falcon at the first test for V8 Supercars this year at Eastern Creek Raceway in Sydney this morning. As an indication of their increased involvement in Australia’s premier motorsport category, convenience store chain Lucky 7 have ramped up their commitment to Slade and SBR, now taking the naming rights title to the #47 SBR Falcon.

“We realised very early on the synergy between V8 Supercar fans and our customer base,” Lucky 7’s National Marketing Manager Craig Matthews said.

“V8 Supercars are a great fit for our brand and after having a good year with Stone Brothers last year, this really is a natural progression from that and a sign of our commitment to the team,” he added.

“Having Tim as an ambassador for our brand also allows us to reach our demographic with someone young and exciting … with Tim’s marketability there’s no doubt we’ll be able to further leverage our association throughout the year,” Matthews concluded.

Looking fit after a strenuous pre-season fitness regime, Slade was champing at the bit to get back behind the wheel of his 2011 racer.

“It’s great to know you have someone backing you that’s genuinely interested in your development,” Slade said.

“Lucky 7 have been great to deal with and have put a lot of resources into making sure we have the best possible chance to perform both on and off the track this season,” he added.

“As usual the off-season feels like it’s been going on forever so I’m pretty pumped to be getting back into the car today!” Slade beamed.
