DCS ANNOUNCE PARTNERSHIP WITH SBR

Stone Brothers Racing
April 29, 2011

Direct Cable Supplies (DCS) recently confirmed a deal to sponsor Stone Brothers Racing’s #47 Lucky 7 Racing Falcon for the 2011 V8 Supercar Championship season.

Based in Sydney, DCS is a registered manufacturer and direct wholesaler of data, communication, security and electrical cable.

“Aware that a lot of our prospective customers are followers of V8 Supercars, it made sense for us to become a partner of a leading team like SBR if we wanted to increase our brand awareness and create another path to new business,” DCS Director Dimitri Vellios said.

“Apart from the business benefits, we have been long time fans of V8 Supercars and remember growing up watching events such as Bathurst on television, so it was a sport that we have an affinity with and wanted to support,” he added.

“We chose SBR as they are a family orientated race team and DCS is a family orientated business – we share the same values and that makes for a great partnership,” Vellios said.

SBR Team Principal Ross Stone echoed Vellios’ sentiments, saying that SBR were grateful of DCS’ support and hoped their new partnership was a rewarding one.

“It’s never easy attracting new sponsors in our game, so to have a supporter with the passion Dimitri and his family at DCS has, is a real bonus to our team,” Stone said.

Tim Slade’s DCS-backed #47 Lucky 7 Racing Falcon returns to the track this weekend at the Trading Post Perth Challenge at Barbagallo.
