Retailer Revs up with Exclusive In-Store Events and Incredible Race Day Savings
FT. WRIGHT, Ky., June 29, 2011 – As Kentucky prepares for the upcoming Inaugural Quaker State 400, select Walmart stores in the area will host exclusive NASCAR fan events through its new Race Time program starting July 5, 2011. Customers are invited to attend these special events and enjoy real stock racing car displays and racing simulator machines – perfect to safely get behind the wheel and feel the power of NASCAR.
“We’ve found that nearly nine out of 10 NASCAR fans chose to shop at Walmart,” said Tiwan Speakes, Walmart local market manager, “We wanted to provide Kentucky race fans with unique Race Time experiences and unbelievable savings on NASCAR merchandise that you can only find at Walmart.”

In addition to the fan events happening in Walmart parking lots, Walmart stores will feature incredible prices on NASCAR merchandise during the racing season such as T-shirts, racing flags, and tailgating food and beverages with even more selection of exclusive product on Walmart.com/NASCAR.
