Two males were injured in this collision around 8:45 PM on Oct 2, 2011. State Police say that both drivers gave conflicting reports as to what happened. However, it seems speed was involved, for the officer measured skid marks over 45 feet long. The accident occured in front of the old American Truck Stop on S Main Street, Covington Township on Rt 15. Both males in the White Pontiac Vibe were injured. One male was transported to the Williamsport Hospital for a leg injury and the other patient was transported to Wellsboro Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital with a head laceraction and was complaining of that his ribs hurt.
The vehicle was wedged under the rig's fuel tank. The damage to the vehicle was extensive. The driver of the rig was not injured and he drove his truck away. The driver of the Pontiac VIBE is a Blossburg resident. Names are being withheld as the investigation into the crash is ongoning.
