Why take in your GPS?

Why take in your GPS?

Why should you take your GPS in, unless you are parked in your own garage?

If one of Woodstock's miscreants smashes your side window and grabs your GPS and your garage door opener, he can be in your home before a cop ever finishes taking your report - and possibly before you even call the cops, if your car is in the Metra lot and you've gone to Chicago for the day.

Think about it. Many users have programmed "Home" into their GPSs. The crook doesn't even need to know your address. He'll just follow the GPS directions and, when he hears "Arriving at destination on right", he'll punch the garage door opener button until he sees a garage door going up.

No cars in the garage? He can drive right in, close the garage door, help himself to some of your expensive goodies, and away he'll go. Worse, he may surprise your spouse or children.
