Ladies & gentlemen, I am so glad to be here with you again!
As we noticed that the development of new energy technologyy in the auto industry has been in a hasty due to the international concern over the energy crisis and climate change worldwide.
As a company engaged in the IT, automobile and new energy industry, BYD has been doing the research and development on the green technology which can popularize the adoption of clean energies with passion, innovation and the unique R&D capability, to fight with the challenges from the environment.
BYD is about building dreams, our three green dreams are;
1) Affordable solar power generation
2) Environmentally-friendly energy storage
3) Electrified transportation powered by clean energy
Our vision is not just “cars”. It is a simultaneous economic and environmental recovery of our communities by driving the Green City Solution into cities. It is a truly “ZERO-EMISSIONS” solution, it is enabling a transition from limited fuel resources to sustainable renewable energy and transportation that is less expensive and harmful than anything available today, it is also decreasing the emission dramatically by means of replacing the heavy polluting public transportation.
In 2010, BYD has made two great strides in the electrification of transportation. The e6 taxi fleet operation has surpassed 2 million Kilometers in China by the end of 2010 and the e-Bus K9 has been operated as urban bus in several bus-lines in three cities of China. Also, in 2010, BYD domestic auto sales increased by 17% to 520 thousand units. Besides, we have sold more than 1,000 units of F3DM in China. In Europe, we have started the pilot project in Spain with F3DM for more than half a year. In the US, we also have F3DM. EV test project in Los Angeles. BYD will bring the new energy vehicles and Pure Electric Buses to the European market by the 4th Quarter of 2012.
At the same time, I have good news to share with you that the “Shenzhen BYD Daimler New Technology Co., Ltd.” has received the business license in China. We are eager to utilize the strengths of our two companies to create a new brand of electric cars in China.
