“ARCA Drivers Gabi DiCarlo & Bryan Silas To Join Sheltra Saturday Night”

INDIANATOWN, Florida (November 1, 2007) - - ARCA RE/MAX Series (ARS) driver Patrick Sheltra is dusting off the Stetson, breaking out his boots and squeezing into his wranglers as he’ll take to the dance floor in his hometown of Indiantown, Florida in Saturday night’s Hoe-Down at the Indiantown International Airport. Sheltra however won’t be alone though as fellow Floridian ARCA driver Bryan Silas and the only current full time female ARCA competitor, Gabi DiCarlo will join Sheltra for the local event.

“I’m looking forward to Saturday night,” said Sheltra. “This is a great family event which allows everyone to come out to our local airport and have a great time. I’m excited to have Bryan and Gabi coming out as well to meet and greet the folks of Indiantown. It’s a going to be a yee-haw time!”

In addition to a buffet style of food and drinks, Sheltra and his gang will get down and do some dancing on Saturday night including the famous Floridian square dance. While Sheltra, who finished seventh in the 2007 ARCA RE/MAX Series Championship Standings isn’t publicly known for his eclectic dancing moves, he isn’t afraid. “It’s always fun to do something like this once in a while. It’s a great way for us to spend Saturday night relaxing, laughing and enjoying ourselves,” said Sheltra.

Before Sheltra, Silas and DiCarlo hit the dance floor, the group will participate in an autograph session at the Indiantown International Airport from 5:30pm to 6:30 pm local time. “I’m looking forward to doing the autograph session; it’s nice to keep the racing rhythm alive during the off-season and I know a lot of the local people are looking forward to coming out and meeting us,” stated the 21-year old rising star.

Sheltra continued, “I personally want to thank Bryan Silas and Gabi DiCarlo for taking time out of their busy schedule to attend this event. It’s means a lot to me to know that just because the season stops, they don’t quit giving back to the race fans.”

After attending the event on Saturday night, Sheltra will unwind at home for three days before packing his bags and heading to Texas for the first of several hunting trips this season. Sheltra in fact, will be hunting in Texas and cut his trip short to attend the ARCA RE/MAX Series Championship Banquet in Covington , Kentucky on December 8 where he and his mother Grace Sheltra (car owner) will be honored for their seventh and ninth place championship finishes this season.

“I’m looking forward to doing some hunting,” he added. “It’s a way of relaxation for me. I’ll be traveling extensively back and forth between our hunting grounds in Texas and Alabama while also heading to the banquet and the Daytona test in December. It’s going to be a busy two months, but I am looking forward to it.”

When asked how things are progressing for the 2008 racing season, Sheltra responded, “Things are going very smoothly. We are adding some new personnel, new equipment and some new sponsors, so everything is coming together nicely. We are excited about next year and we plan to announce our plans during the annual team press conference(s) at the banquet next month.”
